I’ve been using the Thumb Fin on my Fender Precision and I’m really impressed with it.
It stays firmly in place, feels very secure while playing, and it’s rare for it to come off. Even after several days attached, when it gets a little loose, a quick firm press is enough to make it solid again.
Most importantly, it’s genuinely comfortable and does exactly what I was looking for. You can tell that a lot of thought and work went into the design.
Great product, great idea, and definitely recommended for bass players looking for a stable and convenient thumb rest.

I was hoping for something that would replicate the height of my pickup. This device is substantially higher. It is also wider than I expected, that is in the axis head to feet. It seems to crowd out my E string if I position it where I want my thumb to be. I will keep playing around with it, but I think it might not be what I was hoping for. Also it is very smooth and rounded and I miss the slightly sharp edge of the pickup which is a much more precise feeling for my thumb. So I am a bit underwhelmed especially for the price for this trial. Not sure if I will keep using it.
