This is simple, easy to set up and use and is really useful. I play a NS Omni bass. Was easy to put on the bass, easy to adjust and I now have a place to anchor my right hand when I play it. Perfect!
A thumb rest that has suction cups that you can stick on your bass. Simple, but kind of perfect.
If you like to have a place to anchor your thumb, this thing is pretty cool. It is repositionable and provided both the cups and the surface are clean it seems to stay put. I deducted a star for personal feel - it's too big to be comfortable for me. I would have preferred something about half the thickness in both dimensions and a slightly rounded rectangle. But if the shape works for you, cool idea. I'd had a lot of "no-mod" rests, usually ones that fit to the screws of the pickguard of common basses. This will work on anything that has a smooth finish. Kudos, Thumb Fin.
Ordered this for my Jag Bass. Perfect rest for my thumb while working through material. I cannot recommend this enough.
At first look, I was not convinced. Two little suction cups, will they be stable enough? My first trial said no. I tried it on my Epiphone Violin Bass directly on the polyester finish. The suction cups moved and didn’t stick for a complete song. Then I used a little moisture on them and cleaned the surface before applying pressure. That was 3 days ago and it hasn’t budged! I get greater articulation and tone now, not to mention comfort. This is just the thing needed when you have a smooth clean surface to position it on and don’t want to drill or glue a thumb ramp.
