I like how I now have a thumb rest on my acoustic bass guitar. I'm not able to put it exactly were I want it as the sound hole rosetta is a sticker with raised edges. The suction cup doesn't work on it.
I dropped a star for the finish being somewhat poor on one end of the Thumb Fin. You can clearly see how it was printed on a 3D printer but time was not taken to sand down or polish the roughness of that off.
I was getting ready to drill into my bass to add a thumb rest. Issue is, you really don't know where you want it until you test it out. THIS solves that problem! Stuck it on my bass, had the ability to move it around while playing to find the perfect spot, this thing is excellent! 100% 5 STARS!!!
I’ve been using the Thumb Fin on my Fender Precision and I’m really impressed with it.
It stays firmly in place, feels very secure while playing, and it’s rare for it to come off. Even after several days attached, when it gets a little loose, a quick firm press is enough to make it solid again.
Most importantly, it’s genuinely comfortable and does exactly what I was looking for. You can tell that a lot of thought and work went into the design.
Great product, great idea, and definitely recommended for bass players looking for a stable and convenient thumb rest.

I was hoping for something that would replicate the height of my pickup. This device is substantially higher. It is also wider than I expected, that is in the axis head to feet. It seems to crowd out my E string if I position it where I want my thumb to be. I will keep playing around with it, but I think it might not be what I was hoping for. Also it is very smooth and rounded and I miss the slightly sharp edge of the pickup which is a much more precise feeling for my thumb. So I am a bit underwhelmed especially for the price for this trial. Not sure if I will keep using it.
